ZERO MEANS EVERYTHING
In the green beating heart of Lexus, luxury and love for the environment co-exist in perfect harmony. We have one ultimate goal: zero waste. In all our processes, from the materials we develop to the technology that powers our luxury vehicles, we maximize recycling, minimize waste and reduce consumption.

LIGHT YEARS AHEAD
It’s a well-known fact: lighter-weight vehicles help conserve natural resources, reduce fuel consumption and minimize brake wear. When Lexus manufactures lighter-weight vehicles, we ensure that luxury, safety and strength are not compromised. Extensive testing is conducted to validate the rigidity and durability of each component before it goes into production.

EVOLVED & EVOLVING
In 2006, we introduced the world’s first luxury hybrid, the RX 400h. Building on that legacy, we’ve continued to demonstrate the exhilarating potential of hybrid technology as a core feature of our vehicles with the revolutionary LC 500h.
MATERIAL BREAKTHROUGHS
We developed the industry’s first bamboo-charcoal speakers. Our luggage compartment trim is made from recycled plastics. From castor seeds to biodegradable sugarcane, we are always pushing the envelope of sustainable material design.

BEYOND THE ROAD
Our commitment to sustainability and recycling goes as far as establishing recycling facilities such as the Automobile Shredder Residue Recycling plant. Here, we recover and repurpose as much urethane foam, fiber, copper, glass and plastics from our vehicles as possible.
