Lexus multiple models fuel pump recall
Lexus New Zealand is recalling 706 vehicles, sold new in New Zealand, due to a potential issue with the fuel pump. There are multiple models affected that were manufactured between September 2013 and July 2019 including GS, IS, LC, LS, LX, NX, RC and RX.
This is a precautionary measure due to the potential for the fuel pump to stop operating, displaying warning lights and messages on the instrument panel. In some instances, loss of motive power may occur leaving the vehicle unable to be restarted.
The remedy will be completed free of charge by your Lexus dealer.
Owners of the vehicles, which are traceable through NZTA registration data, will be contacted by Lexus New Zealand through a letter in due course.
